Searched all over...

So Wednesday nights at Grinnell are usually marked by Young Gifted Black (YGB) Gospel Choir rehearsals - which comes only after Jamaican Table in the d/hall. Tonight, instead of rehearsing the usual songs such as Nobody Greater, which is always remembered by the line "Searched All Over", my boss and I searched all over Jinja, Uganda to find housing for the next 14 days for me, and 4 days for him.

His usual spot is under new management. And new management must be the cousin of Inflation! To be honest, the place wasn't expensive enuh BUT it just didn't feel worth it to me. The next spot was nice and for the same price BUT location never to righteous.

Then someone carried us way up into high society land saying they would give us rooms at half price. HA...not a ting go suh...his business partner did not agree with that deal and ah mean the place was lavish and well worth the price tag but we come to work --- and we on a budget!

By this time, we had spent 2 hours searching, and personally I gave up! The next thing the one guys who I have yet to figure out his role in the org made another phone call, this time to a local pastor asking him where we can stay. What do you know the pastor nuh seh we can stay with him for free!

Of course though, tonight is Wednesday night, so we first had to go to the church for the mid-week service. We barely caught the tail end but apparently these people had been praying for Christian visitors to come fellowship with them. If you appreciate the wonders of God, then you understand that this is a testimony! The man had actually just purchased a house, he is refurbishing it and it will be completed in 3-4 days. About 8 more people will arrive in 4 days and also need place to stay. The house will be ready for us all to stay in - Free of Charge! Until then he found a comfortable, super affordable guest house --- right across the road from his new house that we will be moving into.

This song is really true...There's NOBODY GREATER!
